Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- ½ cup of honey or maple syrup
- ½ cup of natural peanut butter or almond butter
- ½ cup of dried cranberries
- ½ cup of chopped pistachios
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- ¼ cup of chia seeds (optional)
Instructions
- In a big mixing bowl, mix together oats, honey (or maple syrup), and nut butter. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Add cranberries, pistachios, and vanilla extract to the mix. If using, add chia seeds for extra nutrition.
- Mix well until the mix is sticky and holds together. You might need your hands for this.
- Chill the mix in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up.
- After chilling, take small parts and shape into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Put them back in the fridge for 15-20 minutes to set.
Notes
- Ingredient ratios matter: Make sure you balance wet and dry ingredients. Too much nut butter can make them too sticky.
- Mix thoroughly: An even mix of ingredients means every bite tastes the same.
- Adjust chilling time: Chill the mix long enough to firm up, making it easier to shape.
- Experiment: Try different mixes of nuts and fruits to find your favorite.
