Description

These crispy wonton bites are filled with luscious strawberry cheesecake and fried to golden perfection. A fun, shareable dessert for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup strawberry jam or preserves
  • 23 fresh strawberries, diced (optional)
  • 2024 wonton wrappers
  • Water, for sealing edges
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Whipped cream (optional)
  • Extra strawberry jam or sauce (optional)
  • Fresh strawberries, sliced (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in diced strawberries if using.
  2. Place 1 tsp of filling in center of each wonton wrapper. Top with a dot of strawberry jam if not mixed in.
  3. Moisten wrapper edges with water. Fold into triangle or envelope and press to seal.
  4. Heat oil in skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry wontons 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve warm.
  6. Serve with whipped cream, extra jam, and sliced strawberries if desired.

Notes

  • Don’t overfill the wrappers to avoid leaking during frying.
  • Refrigerate assembled wontons for up to 4 hours before frying.
  • Best served fresh, but leftovers can be reheated in an air fryer for crispiness.
